A Proud History of Glass Processing Innovation

1950: Our Founding

SUPER-CUT, Inc. founded by L. Metzger and Partners. Developed wear-resistant bonds for glass grinding applications that served as the benchmark in auto glass grinding.

1960: X10 Bond

SUPER-CUT introduced the X10 bond diamond wheel, the standard for performance in automotive glass fabrication.

1970: One-Piece Drill

Developed one-piece drill combo that became the standard in automotive glass fabrication.

1980: Quality Certified

ISO 9001:2008 certified through Intertek; internal certified through Saint-Gobain; WCM Bronze award.

1990: EDM Machining

New global EDM machining centers produce wheels with high tolerance machining and balancing as well as precision profiles

2000: NextGen Products

Developed new generation of long life, high grind and cut speed for wheel and drill applications.

2006–08: Coolants & More

Developed high lubricity synthetic grinding coolants, PCD cutting wheels and dressing sticks for various glass applications.

2017: Taking Flight

SUPER-CUT introduces the “Flight” grinding wheel, the latest innovation in glass grinding for improved edge quality, performance and reduced manufacturing costs

2017: Introduction of MAGS

MAGS - Modular Assembly Grind System with Anti vibration technology.
System designed to eliminate the need for wheel core while maintain the same Z height.
